Zim Sammy Ofer

McAllister Towing of Charleston had the honor for the inaugural docking and sailing of the Zim American Integrated Shipping Services container ship Sammy Ofer. The Sammy Ofer is the first Zim LNG powered vessel to call on the US East Coast. The Neo-Panamax vessel is 366-meters long with a 51-meter beam and has 15,000 TEU capacity. The tugs Capt. Jim, Jeffrey, Margaret and Moira McAllister with over 20,000 hp combined, assisted the ship safely in and out of Charleston. Congratulations to Zim, the docking pilots and the crews of the tugs for this historic port call!
